2016 Mosquito Hill Sparkling Rose

This Sparkling Rose was made from Pinot Noir grapes only . Free run juice was separated from early picked pinot noir (clone 114 ) and then tank fermented to produce the base wine . This then underwent a secondary fermentation  in bottle at Lodestone Winery ( winemaker Michael Sykes ). The wine has a delicate pale pink colour and a very elegant and subtle red fruit character to taste. It was one of only four sparkling Roses to win a gold medal in the 2019 Australian Sparkling Wine Show.
